<div class="embedtext1">Sugar plant in Slutsk alongside such factories like: Gorodeya, Skidel Zhabinka is one of the largest sugar producer in Belarus. The official data for the year 2009 states that the daily capacity of Slutsk sugar plant is eight thousand tons. The design works that are currently underway that plan to expand this capacity to ten thousand tons per day.<br />
In January 2011 our company performed 3D laser scanning of structural elements and inner equipment of the factory building. We set up 576 individual scans individual scan positions along the 3d scanning we carried out precise measurement of control points. The whole scan data has been registered into a single coordinate system with the global registration accuracy lower than 5mm.<br />
The data we obtained will be used to create 3D model of entire plant. We have also generated a TruViews of each scan position. This data format is supported by a free Internet Explorer plug-in provided by Leica Geosystems. It allows for viewing point cloud data, displaying global co-ordinates of each selected point and distance measurements of any selected objects in the space.</div>
<div class="embedtext">The client decided to create the 3d CAD model himself we provided necessary help and trainings in implementing new software.<br />
The data from the scanner can directly be used to generate floor plans and sections at any height and in any direction through the whole scanned object. What is more it also can be used to create intelligent 3D models in CAD, PDS, PDMS, Smart Plant, etc formats. Once surveyed, you can measure and store the archive in digital form and it can be reused in case of future redevelopment or refurbishment.<br />
3D laser scanning surveys allow to obtain a complete spatial information about the object in a very short time without interruption to production process and with with accuracy of a few millimeters. Such parameters are unachievable using conventional methods of measurements.</div>

<div class="embedtext1">Just after we purchased 3d laser scanner Riegl VZ-400 we ventured to do 3d laser scanning of a telecom tower in Kraków &#8211; Podgorze, Poland. This object is 62 meter high and was built in 1965, it is a property of TP EmiTel. We have done very similar project <a title="High-Definition Laser Scanning" href="http://www.3deling.com/reverse-engineering-telecommunication-masts/" target="_self">hds laser scanning of a telecom tower</a> in Scotland, this was only a test project aimed to check scanner performance and possibly show the results to the owner company. There are many advantages of using 3d laser scanner to measure this kind of object: We received a huge amount of data in such a short time ( the whole measurement took 6 hours),</div>
<div class="embedtext">long distance from scanning object (few scan positions were 200 meters from the tower), no need to switch off telecom equipment ( it would be impossible if we surveyed it using traditional methods), final point cloud was used for 3d modeling in Cad, uploaded directly to software used by designers of transmitters and other telecom equipments. It is also possible to integrate many point clouds or 3d models of towers into one coordinates system by integrating 3d laser scanning with GPS measurements.</div>

Wieliczka Salt Mine is the only facility in the world mining industry, which is continuously open from the Middle Ages to the present day. The total length of all the shafts and galleries is about 300 km, and deepest of them reaching 327 meters below the surface. Since 1978 the, Wieliczka Salt Mine, has been listed on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.</div>
<div class="embedtext">In the autumn of 2010 we performed 3D laser scanning with a precise measurement of the control points of the mine. The main objective of the laser scanning was to determine the spatial dimensions of the chambers, all measurements the masurments were referred to the local co-ordinate system of the mine. In addition, we poltted floor plans, sections and views of individual chambers.</div>

<div class="embedtext1">In October 2010 in cooperation with Krakow University of Technology we made a experimental survey of the railway infrastructure facilities at the Słomniki station. The purpose of the measurements was to determine the feasibility of 3d laser scanning for verifying the gauge consistency of tracks. We used a Riegl VZ-400 3D laser scanner with a scan range of up to 500 meters. All data (represented as point clouds) were registered into one coordinate system. Medium registration error / point cloud fitting was ± 5mm.</div>
<div class="embedtext">One main advantage of 3D laser scanning is the speed and precision with which we can take measurements. Scanning produces a continuous representation of the measured area, making a complete and easily transmittable record which can be used for a variety of applications from design to repair to planning. Another advantage of laser scanning is that we can make all the measurements without stopping the train.</div>

<div class="embedtext1">During this project the application 3d laser scanner Riegl VZ-400 to large scale objects gave us very good resluts The point cloud of even very high power line masts is very datailed and acurate.</div>
<div class="embedtext">Not only of supporting structures and foundations of overhead high voltage lines are visible but also cables, insulators, technical equipment and other items. The advantage of this measurement technology is apparent. This allows monitoring of the technical elements of power lines, checking the correct distance from tree branches and buildings etc.</div>

<div class="embedtext1">In June 2010 3Deling has performed a 3d laser scanning of col propelled power plant in Warsaw. The plant is undergoing a mayor refurbishment. The scan data was collected in a very short time, without any interruption to process performance. The final product we delivered was a registered point cloud in a .pod (pointools) file format of an inside and outside structures of a power plant building.</div>
<div class="embedtext">The client needed to build a new pollution filters. The design team works in AutoCad and requested deliverable in a CAD format. We managed to persuade the client to much more cost effective solution. Using <a title="pointools model" href="http://www.3deling.com/pointools-model-dla-autocad/" target="_self">Pointools Model </a>software the point cloud we delivered was displayed in the AutoCad environment. After short training that also we provided the designers were able reference a new structures to the existing ones (represented by the point cloud)</div>

<div class="embedtext1">In Summer 2010 we carried out 3d laser scanning of tunnel (gallery) of pumped-storage water power plant in Porąbka, Poland. This power plant is a second largest pumped-storage water power plant in Poland and was constructed in 1979. The gallery is 470 meters long, the average width is about 5.5 meters and height up to 6 meters. The difference in height between the gate and the plant chamber is 48.92 m. There are numerous stains and infiltrations on the walls and arch of tunnel showing considerable humidity of the object. In the coming months sealing work will be carried out &#8211; using the “crystalline injection technology&#8221;.
</div>
<div class="embedtext">Use of 3d laser scanning in combination with traditional measurements, allowed to generate orthophotoplans of each side walls and arch in the colours of the intensity of the reflected signal. Orthophotoplans interpretations have greatly facilitated the stain and allowed the precise localisation of infiltrations , which will be sealed.<br />
In addition to the orthophotoplans we prepared traditional side walls views, ground plan plan view, and sections trough the whole tunnel at intervals of five meters. Client also received a final point cloud in “pod” format and free version of “Pointools View Pro”- a software which allowed visualization of the point cloud, rotations, measurements between elements. The global accuracy of point cloud is no worse than + / &#8211; 5 mm.
